Residential Solar Energy Disclosure and Homeowners Bill of Rights Act, 2024 P.L. Ch. 67 & 68
We are excited to announce that registration pursuant to the Act and Regulations will commence on May 1, 2025. The online application portal and instructions will be available at https://dbr.ri.gov/solar-retailers at the open of business on that date. Please be advised the link will not work until go-live on May 1. The Department of Business Regulation will work with applicants to ensure compliance as quickly as possible but does not currently have a firm deadline for licensure. Applicants should make every effort to register as soon as possible so that any issues related to the registration process can be addressed in a timely manner. Questions related to the Solar Retailer registration process, or the underlying statute and regulations, may be sent to program staff at the Division of Commercial Licensing via email at DBR.Solar@dbr.ri.gov or via phone at 401.462.9506. If you have any questions or complaints relating to the regulation of solar retailers, please email the Department at DBR.Solar@dbr.ri.gov. Stay tuned for further updates.
