Residential Solar Energy Disclosure and Homeowners Bill of Rights Act, 2024 P.L. Ch. 67 & 68 Pursuant to the recently-enacted Residential Solar Energy Disclosure and Homeowners Bill of Rights Act, 2024 P.L. Ch. 67 & 68, the Department of Business Regulation will begin licensing retailers, sales representatives, and other entities involved with the sale or lease of residential solar energy systems on March 1, 2025. The Department is currently preparing regulations and guidance necessary to implement the provisions of this Act. Holiday Hours and Cold Weather Safety The State of Rhode Island will be observing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday on Monday, January 20, 2025 and our office will be closed. CCC Adult Use Regulations Proposed Proposed rules and regulations for Adult Use Cannabis have been proposed by the Cannabis Control Commission and can be found on the Secretary of State website or on the Commission’s website.The Commission is accepting written comments on the proposed regulations through February 7, 2025.
