Financial Condition Examinations

Financial Examination Section

The financial examination section plays a vital role in monitoring the solvency of insurance companies domiciled in the State of Rhode Island.  State laws require financial examinations to be performed on insurance companies at least once every five years.  The purpose of financial examinations, which culminate with a Financial Condition Exam Report, is primarily to assess the insurer’s financial condition, its ability to fulfill obligations, and compliance with state laws and regulations.
